Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) – Results 2023

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UP Board) conducted the High School (10th) and Intermediate (12th) examinations from February 16, 2023, to March 3, 2023. The results for these examinations are expected to be released in May by the UP Board.

Compartment Exam Rules

As per the regulations issued by the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP), students who have failed in one or two subjects in Class 12 can apply for compartment exams. It is advisable for them to commence preparation for the failed subjects immediately. However, the Board has not yet announced the application date for compartment exams; the announcement is anticipated soon.

It is important to note that students who have failed in Hindi in Class 12 will not be allowed to participate in compartment exams. They will not have another opportunity, and they will be considered definitively failed.

Scrutiny Rules

Students dissatisfied with their marks in the UP Board Class 12 exams can opt for scrutiny to reevaluate their scores. The Board will soon release the application form for scrutiny. Students must pay a fee of 100 rupees for the scrutiny process. It is crucial to understand that scrutiny involves only the re-calculation of marks; no rechecking of answer sheets will be conducted.

1. Changes in UP Board Marksheets: This year, UP Board marksheets include a color-coded system – blue, yellow, green, and pink. Additionally, each marks sheet now contains a unique code and a digital signature. The names of students and their parents will be printed in both Hindi and English.
2. Minimum Marks for CGPA 10 in UP Board Class 10: To attain CGPA 10 in UP Board Class 10, a student must score between 91 and 100 marks.
3. Lost Roll Number and Admit Card: In case a student has forgotten their roll number and cannot find their admit card, they should seek assistance from their school. The school authorities can provide the roll number based on the student’s name or inquire from fellow students to retrieve the roll number.
4. Re-evaluation Process in UP Board: If a student is dissatisfied with their results, they can download the scrutiny form from the official website and submit it, along with the required fee, to the Regional Office within thirty days of result declaration.
5. Eligibility for Compartment Exams in UP Board: Any student from Class 10th or 12th who has failed in one or two subjects is eligible to appear for compartment exams. However, those failing in more than two subjects do not qualify for compartment exams.
6. Date of Compartment Exams: The exact date for compartment exams has not been announced yet, but traditionally, UP Board compartment exams are conducted in July.
